Manchester United Identify Spurs Midfielder As Potential Pogba Replacement
Many things are uncertain at Manchester United at the moment, but one thing that seems most likely to happen is the exit of Paul Pogba.
The midfielder has been a controversial figure in the sport this season, and he’s been in the news just as much as he’s been on the pitch so far.
The World Cup winner has continuously raised eyebrows all around with mixed performances, dressing room shenanigans, problems with Jose Mourinho, and untimely statements.
While the player has shown glimpses of his excellence in a few games, he does look like a man ready to head out of the exit doors of Old Trafford.

In such a situation, Manchester United are trying their best to convince their no. 6 to stay, but are also preparing for the worst if things do not go according to plan.
TuttoSport have come out with reports suggesting that if Pogba does decide to depart from Old Trafford, Tottenham’s Victor Wanyama will be the man reeled in as the replacement.

While the playing styles of the two might differ completely, Wanyama brings a sense of assurance and strength in the middle of the park, traits that Mourinho would die for in a player he manages.
£50m is said to be the value that Spurs have placed on their midfielder, and after Pogba’s worth not yet being completely justified, this would be a gamble that will have to pay off for Mourinho and Ed Woodward’s sake.
Manchester United face Juventus in the Champions League tonight, and once Pogba steps out to play in Turin against the fans and side that made him who he is, the inclination of returning there will surely increase.
