Arsene Wenger Gives Interesting Insight Into Ronaldo’s Celebration Against Man Utd

Manchester United did the unthinkable this week, when they came from behind to defeat Juventus in Turin. The Champions League encounter between the two European heavyweights was expected to be Juventus’ to lose, and as it turned out, the Old Lady actually went on to lose the game.
Two goals in the dying minutes of the game were enough to give United a famous victory, and Jose Mourinho’s celebration after the game showed just how much it meant to him personally as well as to the entire Red Devils’ squad.
But it could have all been so different. After all, Cristiano Ronaldo scored an absolute peach in the second half to put Juve ahead, and they had numerous chances to kill the game off, but failed to do so.
And one of the talking points during and after the game had to be the questionable celebration of the Portuguese superstar after his sensational finish.

Ronaldo did not pay heed to the fact that he was playing against the club that arguably made him the star he is today, and did not hesitate in celebrating his goal to its full extent.
Not just this, but the former Real Madrid hitman even took off his shirt and showed off his abs, annoying a number of United fans in the process for sure. And as far as former Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger is concerned, it may have been pretty pointless.

“He shows his abdomens after – but he didn’t score because of his abdomens, he scored because of his skill and his speed of decisions,” Wenger told beIN Sports.
“He will go home, believe me, absolutely gutted because a goal like that will not be highlighted because they lost the game,” he added. “This goal with a 1-0 victory will have been all over the world.”
Considering how Ronaldo is used to being the center of attention, Wenger’s interesting insight does put things into perspective, and does indeed make a lot of sense.
