What Happened Between Alexis Sanchez And Juan Mata In Training
Back when Manchester United swapped their struggling playmaker Henrikh Mkhitaryan for Arsenal superstar Alexis Sanchez, everyone believed the Mancunians had gotten the better end of the deal. However, the subsequent months have proven just the opposite.
The Chilean international has consistently struggled to perform at Old Trafford, having only bagged 3 Premier League goals and 5 assists since his January move.
In fact, the forward is already being linked with an exit from the Theatre of Dreams, despite manager Jose Mourinho having claimed otherwise.
The Portuguese recently stated: “He has never told me that he wants to leave. He never told me that he’s not happy to stay. He is playing like the team. He is improving, like the team is improving, when he plays he is giving us his personality.
“His desire is to play and to produce for the team and [he is] trying to adapt to the way we play and vice versa. Can he do better? We all can do better. I can do better, he can do better, all the players can do better.”
But it remains to be seen precisely when Alexis intends to start performing better, because recent reports regarding his training-ground displays suggest completely otherwise.

According to the Independent, Sanchez was recently a part of a sprint test at the AON Training Complex, wherein he lost the race to an unfathomable competitor: Juan Mata.
Mata is known to be one of the slowest players in the current Manchester United squad. Therefore, the fact that Alexis Sanchez, who used to be one of the fastest players in the Premier League, came second to Mata, perfectly sums up the Chilean’s recent decline.
What does the future hold for the swiftly deteriorating 29-year-old?
