Good news is now a luxury Manchester United fans have forgotten to afford, but this one might just come as a ray of sunshine in the midst of some very dark days.

While everything else might be going in the opposite direction of any possible plan, securing the future of Anthony Martial might well be coming exactly as wished for.

The club are in desperate need to turn things around and keeping their in-form and goal getting Frenchmen is a top priority for the management.

While David de Gea’s time at United seems to be on thin ice for now, latest rumours suggest that Martial’s issue has been dealt with and the fans will be seeing him running down the left wing of Old Trafford for at least one more season.

The player could now be a Red Devil till 2020, instead of his current deal seeing him walk out the doors in the summer of 2019.

While the deal extension sees him stay for another year, representatives of the club are also working on an arrangement to keep him for a time beyond that.

When Louis Van Gaal signed him for £36m in 2015 and made him the most expensive teenager in football, many were left laughing and now after solid performances and becoming a solo source of hope in recent weeks, people have understood that Tony is a force to be reckoned with and letting him go will be a mistake too costly to recover from for United.
