What Solskjaer Said About Paul Pogba At United’s Christmas Party
Manchester United have seen a total transformation this week. The Red Devils decided to sack Jose Mourinho after the humiliating defeat to Liverpool, and chose Ole Gunnar Solskjaer to revive their Champions League hopes for next season.
A number of players weren’t interested in committing to the Portuguese gaffer’s plans after been regularly criticized for poor performances or their social media activities.
One such player was Paul Pogba, who was stripped off his vice-captaincy for making an Instagram post after Manchester United were knocked out of the Carabao Cup by Derby County.
The French International landed himself in further controversy, after he sent out a tweet which asked fans to caption a picture of him with a smirk on his face. Supporters were left unimpressed with the ill-timed post, which was taken down immediately.

Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has now picked up the reigns at Old Trafford. The United legend has urged the players to pull up their socks in the coming days if they intend to secure a spot in the starting XI for the rest of the season.
In a recent exclusive with Red News, the former Norwegian forward revealed that he was excited to work with Pogba, and intends to bring the best out of the 25-year-old in the upcoming fixtures.
Ole stated: “We’ve got a World Cup winner on the pitch, it just excites me. Just imagine how much we can do with these players. It’s been great, and they’ve been really receptive, they have been very good.”
Solskjaer has worked with the French midfielder earlier, back when he managed the Red Devils’ reserve team between 2008 and 2010. It will be interesting to see if Pogba responds well to the new manager, and wins the hearts of the Manchester United fans once again.
