5 Players Arsenal Can Sign As Ozil Replacements

With Mesut Ozil seeming to find it incredible hard to retain Unai Emery’s trust at Arsenal, a departure seems imminent. However, the German nevertheless occupies a crucial spot in the Gunners squad and here are some of the players that could replace him:

1. Isco

Age: 26-year-old     Potential Transfer Fee: £80m

The Spaniard is an obvious option, as he is arguably the best player in the position for his age. However, Arsenal may not be able to afford him upfront and some sort of a transfer bargain may have to be struck.

What makes this move a tempting one for Isco is that he badly wishes to make the cut for the Spanish national side and moving to Arsenal would assure him of playing time.

2. Julian Draxler

Age: 25-year-old    Potential Transfer Fee: £50m

A German for a German, Draxler certainly fits the bill at the London club. His speed and prowess up-front hasn’t been readily used at PSG and as of such he could be courted for a departure. While the Emery link sits strong, a return to the Bundesliga may spoil that possibility yet again.

3. Nabil Fekir

Age: 25-year-old    Potential Transfer Fee: £60m

The Lyon midfielder is back on the radar of European giants and Arsenal’s name can be readily added to the list. However, the purchasing might that clubs like Real Madrid bring to the table may edge the English club out.

The past summer has indicated that he isn’t an easy player to tempt away either.

4. Cengiz Under

Age: 21-year-old   Potential Transfer Fee: £45m

A relatively lesser known name in this list, but one that Arsenal have been actively monitoring from a while now, with their scouts allegedly keen on the Roma attacking midfielder. Could the Turkish starlet be a January arrival, who can boost Arsenal’s top 4 chances.

5. Andreas Pereira

Age: 22-year-old   Potential Transfer Fee: £25m

Exchanges between Arsenal and Manchester United are becoming increasingly common in the recent era. One link that has been persistent as of recent is that Pereria could move to the Emirates.

Though used traditionally as a holding midfielder, his loan spells in Spain have shown him play proficiently on the wings and in the no.10 position as well. Given how he’s unsure about his United future and no move has been made for a contact extension, the Brazilian could be a cheap option for the Gunners.
