“Top People In The Game” Wish To Manage Man United, Reveals Ed Woodward
Ed Woodward has admitted that several “top people in the game” are interested in the managerial post at Manchester United.
Having parted ways with Jose Mourinho, the Mancunian giants have appointed Ole Gunnar Solskjaer on an interim basis, as they seek a viable managerial candidate for the long term.
A host of world-class names like Zinedine Zidane, Antonio Conte, Massimiliano Allegri, and Mauricio Pochettino, amongst others, have already been linked with the Red Devils, with the Tottenham Hotspur gaffer currently believed to be the frontrunner.
However, numerous more big personalities in the game have expressed their interest in taking over the job, according to the club’s chief executive, Ed Woodward.

TalkSPORT host Jim White recently opened up about the conversation he had with Woodward, wherein the Manchester United official also revealed precisely when the club will make the much-awaited announcement.
White stated: “Ed Woodward told me, on the record, that last week was not a proud one for Manchester United. He said the club now needed to undergo the proper process of finding the right manager and that NOTHING will be announced before the end of the season.”
“He said he’d been inundated with applications and recommendations – the top people in the game want this job. But he said, at the end of the day, nothing will be announced before the end of the season,” White further added.
“He also said [owners] the Glazers are huge United traditionalists and they want to emphasise that they want things to be run the Manchester United way.”
