Paul Pogba Points Out The Difference Between Mourinho And Solskjaer

Manchester United breathe easy yet again under Ole Gunnar Solskjaer, as Old Trafford was treated to another attacking masterclass when they beat AFC Bournemouth 4-1 on Sunday.

The Red Devils finished the first half with a 3-1 scoreline, courtesy of an early brace from Paul Pogba and a sweet goal from Marcus Rashford. Nathan Ake’s goal was the sole one for the Cherries, coming during the added time in the first period.

Pogba was clinical throughout the fixture, popping up across the pitch and delivering creative balls for much of the game. This Frenchman was a shockingly different player from the one that was benched by Jose Mourinho in December itself.

Speaking to Sky Sports after the victory, Pogba revealed the main difference between the two management styles.

“We are Manchester United and we need to be at the top of the league, it is just a reaction of all of the players and everyone is enjoying themselves, said the star midfielder

“It is different, we still won games with the old manager but it is just a different style of playing, we are more offensive and we are creating more chances and that is how we want to play.”

It is nice that he didn’t throw Mourinho entirely under the bus either. He went on to add: “I always want to do more, but I want to play for the team and play simple.

“We needed the win and we had a great performance as well. We are coming back, and there is still a long way to go, but to finish the year like that is beautiful.”

Morale will be high at the club going into the new year, when they’ll be tasked with securing a top-four finish and posting a decisive run of games in the UEFA Champions League. How many more will Pogba net by then?
