Manchester United extended their brilliant run under new boss Ole Gunnar Solskjaer on Sunday, as they lodged an easy 4-1 win over Bournemouth at Old Trafford.

A brace from Paul Pogba, and goals from strikers Marcus Rashford and Romelu Lukaku earned the Red Devils all three Premier League points, taking them within a 3-point gap of 5th-placed Arsenal.

While the French midfielder put in a man-of-the-match display with his two goals and as assist, the performance put up by Rashford was heavily impressive as well.

While the 20-year-old’s goal at the cusp of half-time was finished sublimely, his assist for Pogba’s opener was even better.

The Englishman beat not one but two Bournemouth defenders on the right wing via a sensational elastico skill, before squaring the ball towards Pogba for an easy tap-in.

The youngster was heavily lauded by the supporters on social media, but manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer also singled Rashford out for his bamboozling footwork.

Speaking to Sky Sports in his post-match interview, Solskjaer stated: “I think Marcus has been different class since I came. His work rate is unbelievable. He chases, closes down, runs in behind and his skill for Paul’s goal was great.

“The first thing he holds the ball up and has no real right to go past the first one and then the second one. He’s got all the chances in the world and the potential to be a top, top, top striker.”
