Solskjaer Reveals Intentions Of Securing The Man United Job Permanently

It’s been two weeks since Ole Gunnar Solskjaer replaced Jose Mourinho as the new interim manager of Manchester United, and he has done a phenomenal job since.

Under his leadership, the Red Devils have won all three games they have played, scoring 12 goals and playing attractive attacking football in the process.

Further, the smiles also seem to have returned to the faces of everyone associated with the club, with the Norwegian having worked his magic both on and off the pitch.

In fact, the former striker has done such a good job so far, that many supporters want him to take up the managerial job permanently at the end of the season.

And while Solskjaer himself has been coy regarding these opinions, he has admitted that he would be very much interested in the permanent role if he receives such an offer.

Speaking to Sky Sports, the 45-year-old stated: “My job is for the next five months, because I’m going to leave them to someone else when they come in.

“That’s the plan and that’s what my job is at the moment, it runs out at the end of May – actually the end of June but we don’t play many games in June – so my job is to affect the players on what it is all about at Manchester United.

“You’re always ambitious of course, but as I’ve told Ed [Woodward, United chief executive] and the owners, I’m here to do as well as I can and, if in May you decide someone else will be coming in, then fantastic, and if you decide it’s me, I’m sure we will agree.”
