Manchester United have returned from the dead under the management of Ole Gunnar Solskjaer, with Paul Pogba unarguably the biggest improvement under the new interim boss.

The Frenchman has played quite further forward under the Norwegian than he ever did under Jose Mourinho, and its deadly effects are there for all to see.

The Red Devils’ attack has revolved mainly around the 2018 World Cup winner, with the midfielder himself having bagged four goals in the three appearances he has made under Solskjaer so far.

Out of those four goals, the first two came against Huddersfield Town the previous week, while the second brace was scored against Bournemouth last Sunday.

Now, with the Mancunian giants set to face Newcastle United on Wednesday night, Paul Pogba could very well equal a goal-scoring record set by Cristiano Ronaldo if he bags another brace or more against the Magpies.

The 25-year-old is on the verge of becoming only the second Manchester United player to score two or more goals in three consecutive Premier League games since the Portuguese superstar achieved the feat back in December 2006.

Ronaldo had scored three consecutive braces against Aston Villa, Wigan, and Reading, before eventually firing a blank against Newcastle at St James Park, which incidentally happens to be Pogba’s upcoming trip.

Will the France international equal and subsequently better Cristiano’s impressive record?
