Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s tenure at Manchester United is going strong, as the Norwegian gaffer secured his fourth consecutive win in charge of the side.
Newcastle United were the victims this time around, with an impressive second-half showing and goals from Romelu Lukaku and Marcus Rashford providing the 2-0 finish that secured them the three points.
The Red Devils will be happy about their caretaker manager, whose win on Wednesday equaled a long-kept record at the Mancunian giants.
Solskjaer has become only the second manager to win his first four games in charge of the club, a feat last achieved by Sir Matt Busby in 1946. The fact that even Sir Alex Ferguson didn’t have this record is quite telling of the impact that the club legend has made at the club.

This is in addition to his other changes – the side has now scored 14 goals under him, keeping only one clean sheet, however. He has brought the likes of Paul Pogba back into good form, with the Frenchman having scored 4 goals under him.
Ole has also cured the drought of Romelu Lukaku, who has managed to net 2 goals despite coming on as a substitute. Even Alexis Sanchez, who was long touted to be an expensive mistake, looked promising during the half an hour or so he spent on the field at St James’ Park.

All in all, things look tremendously hopeful for the Mancunian giants, who will next face a big challenge in the Premier League against Tottenham at Wembley.
A quick FA Cup tie with Reading will certainly test their fatigue and fitness, while a top-four finish still looks achievable. This is particularly true given how close Chelsea and Arsenal are above the Red Devils.
In fact, there are already numerous fans who are hoping that Solskjaer will impress enough to continue on a permanent basis after the summer.
