Lukaku Reveals How Solskjaer Surprised Him During Their First Training Session Together
Romelu Lukaku has hit the ground running immediately under new boss Ole Gunnar Solskjaer, having already scored 3 goals in 3 appearances under the interim manager.
The 25-year-old had endured a prolonged goal-drought during Jose Mourinho’s final few games in charge of the Old Trafford outfit. But the repetition of that seems unlikely under Solskjaer’s brand new attacking philosophy.
Lukaku has already admitted that Solskjaer has been of tremendous help as far as his game is concerned, as the former Manchester United striker offers him constant valuable advice.
Now, the Belgian international has further revealed that the 45-year-old had conducted an in-depth analysis of his overall gameplay, even before he attended his first training session post-Mourinho.

Speaking of the manner in which Ole helps him, Lukaku stated: “Movement-wise, and stuff like that, but obviously he knows the type of striker that I am.
“I think from the first day when I came back in, he did a total analysis of my game and I was really surprised. He helped me a lot and I am looking forward to keeping on working with him.
“He talks to me all the time, all the time and I like that, and he plays in a way that I like to play, and also the rest of the team. We are just enjoying our football right now, but he wants us to win and we want to win.”
With Manchester United set to face Tottenham Hotspur next, it will be interesting to see how Solskjaer and Lukaku deal with their first real test of this new saga.
