Manchester United have as good as finalised their first signing of the 2019 January window.

The Red Devils have managed to beat several European powerhouses, including the likes of Juventus and Paris Saint-Germain, in the race to sign French wonderkid Noam Emeran.

The 16-year-old forward has impressed Europe’s elite clubs through his performances in the French youth system, which seem to have earned him the chance to move to the Theatre of Dreams.

Emeran has previously played for Belgian outfit FC Brussels and French club Sannois-Saint-Gratien, before switching to his current club Amiens in 2017.

Talks between the involved parties seem to be progressing well, and the Mancunian giants are expected to cough up £90,000 for the in-demand teenager’s signature.

Emeran himself has already spoken about his prospective transfer to Old Trafford, even labeling one Manchester United star as his role model.

Speaking to French local newspaper Le Courrier Picardthe French under-17 international admitted: “I chose Manchester United after discussing it with my family. I think United were my best option from the offers I had to enable me to play at the top level.

“It is now down to me to put in the work needed to reach my targets and fulfil my dreams. I have plenty of role models – Anthony Martial, Leroy Sane and Neymar.”
