Manchester United are far from short on young attacking talents at the moment, with the likes of Marcus Rashford, Anthony Martial, Jesse Lingard and Romelu Lukaku already a part of their star-studded roster.

Moreover, promising academy graduates have already begun knocking on the first-team door, keeping alive the club’s glorious philosophy of promoting youth.

In spite of the abundance of young forwards, however, the Red Devils seem to have expressed their interest in another attacking starlet, according to reports in Holland.

As per Dutch newspaper De Telegraaf, the Mancunian giants are now keen on signing PSV talent Steven Bergwijn.

The 21-year-old has been quite impressive this season, having already bagged 9 goals and 8 assists in the Eredivisie so far this campaign.

The youngster also notched up an assist in the 5 appearances he made in the Champions League, which came against Inter Milan – a club also rumoured to be eyeing the player’s services.

The source has labeled Manchester United‘s interest in Bergwijn as “emphatic”. The report further adds that the Reds scouted the versatile talent during PSV’s recent 2-2 draw with FC Emmen, which left them “increasingly convinced”.

The Netherlands international is a right-footed forward who plays on the left wing, but is capable of featuring across the frontline.

His valuation seems to have significantly shot up compared to the €20m price tag he boasted in the summer, meaning interested parties will have to cough up a good amount to prize him away from his homeland.
