The summer of 2017 was dominated with the transfer saga involving Ivan Perisic and Manchester United. Former manager Jose Mourinho wanted to get the star player from Inter, but the asking price set by the Italian outfit saw no deal materialising.

Perisic then went on to sign a new deal at the club, and a possibility to come to United soon faded away. Inter were reluctant to sell their star player, and played hard ball with United by rejecting all offers on the table.

There were reports earlier that Perisic had wanted to join the Mancunian club, but his manager Luciano Spalletti convinced him to stay.

Now, it has come to surface that Perisic is still keen to join the Premier League side.

According to a report in SportMediaset (via Sport Witness), it is said that United are still interested in him, and Perisic is also open to the idea of switching pastures. Further, Perisic is supposedly unhappy at Inter, and feels that the style of play isn’t suiting him.

It has also come to light that the current interim boss Ole Gunnar Solskjaer also regards Perisic as an important player, and is keen to have him at the club.

It remains to be seen whether Manchester United make any sort of a bid during the ongoing transfer window. Inter Milan want €40m for the player.

Besides United, Spanish side Atletico Madrid too, are monitoring Perisic closely. He hasn’t been in the best of form since a defining World Cup campaign last year.
