OFFICIAL: Manchester United Lose English Midfielder On Deadline Day

Youngsters who don’t make an instant impact often don’t get a second chance at all. In these cases, being a promising talent or a celebrated graduate from a renowned European academy does little good going ahead in one’s career.
However, when a proper impact isn’t allowed to be made by virtue of senior team appearances, it does sting. Such talents are often subjected to numerous loan spells, and when the time comes, anonymity welcomes them with open arms; unless they fight for fame yet again.
A similar fate may be consigned to a Manchester United youngster, who is all but set to be shipped off on yet another loan spell, this one potentially his last.
MEN confirmed that Matthew Willock is all set to join Crawley Town in the League Two until the end of this season. The 22-year-old’s contract expires at the end of this term as well, after which he is expected to leave the club and pursue his next destination as a free agent.

This is Willock’s fourth loan spell as a Red Devil and his third in over a year. His stint prior to this was with Scottish Premiership side, St Mirren. Even before that, the English midfielder featured for St Johnstone.
He has never made a senior-team appearance for United, despite coming painstakingly close on one occasion. During the Jose Mourinho era, Willock was all set to come on during the final day of the 2016/17 season against Crystal Palace.
However, an injury to Eric Bailly meant that Mourinho had to cancel the Willock substitution, and instead elected to bring on another youngster, Angel Gomes.
Deadline day has been a drab affair for the Mancunian giants so far. The club seems primarily interested in tying up loose ends with regard to loan spells and freeing their roster of surplus talent.
