Sir Alex Ferguson To Manage Manchester United Yet Again

Manchester United rich history as a club is heavily reliant on the heroics of Sir Alex Ferguson as a gaffer. The titles he brought to the club kept them afloat and amongst the best in the modern era.
Nowhere is his impact most apparent than in the void that his retirement caused within the power dynamics of English football.
Even as United faltered under successive new managements, the likes of Tottenham began to take center-stage while Liverpool returned from its tenure within the insignificant.
Most notable amongst his achievement is the memorable treble of 1999. The capstone moment of that season was when Ole Gunnar Solskjaer won the UEFA Champions League final against Bayern Munich with an injury-time goal.
Now, Sir Alex Ferguson is all set to relive that immortal moment again.

In May, the Manchester United Foundation is all set to host a game between the ’99 legends and Bayern Munich in an attempt to commemorate that night from 20 years ago.
Ferguson will be in the dugout on that occasion. Here’s what the manager had to say about reprising that role (via Official Man Utd website):
“I’m really looking forward to what will be a special day at Old Trafford. It will be a great catch up with some familiar faces and a great opportunity to support the work of Manchester United Foundation.”

United’s group managing director and Foundation chairman Richard Arnold, said the following about the replay:
“The ’99 Treble is one of the most important and historic moments in Manchester United’s story, with a team made up of some true legends of the game.
“The final against Bayern Munich is a night etched in the memory of all our fans and, for so many of those names to be returning to Old Trafford to celebrate the anniversary of that momentous achievement, is testament to Manchester United Foundation and the work it does in our community.”
