Woodward Discusses Solskjaer’s Man United Future In A 3-Hour Meeting

Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has certainly exceeded everyone’s expectations since taking over the Manchester United hot-seat in mid-December.
After a sensational unbeaten run, his side suffered a 2-0 defeat at the hands of PSG last week, which gave the club a harsh reality check.
However, the fact remains that Solskjaer has successfully revived the current squad, without having spent a single penny to bring in his own type of players in the January transfer window.
As per multiple sources, top officials at the Old Trafford outfit were left quite impressed with the Norwegian, with the players as well as the supporters keen to see him land the permanent gig.

Now, according to a new update provided by The Sun, Solskjaer might just have bagged the full-time managerial role at his beloved club.
The report suggests that Solskjaer met with club chief Ed Woodward at an Italian restaurant named Cibo in Cheshire, on the evening of February 6, the day of the Munich Air Disaster memorial.

The meeting between the duo lasted for three hours, at the end of which Woodward shook the Norwegian by the hand, and reportedly beamed ‘Here’s to a long and successful relationship together’.
A witness, whose table was close to the pair’s at the restaurant, has revealed: “When me and my party got to the restaurant Ole and Ed were already there. They spent the whole time eating but mainly talking quietly.
“There were big smiles between them as they got up to go and shook hands before getting into separate Mercedes that were parked on the kerb outside.”
