WATCH: Solskjaer Destroys Alan Shearer On Live TV After Chelsea vs United
After a 2-0 setback against PSG the previous week, Manchester United got back to winning ways yet again on Monday night with an impressive win over Chelsea.
Ole Gunnar Solskjaer set his side up brilliantly to counter Maurizio Sarri’s tactics, with goals from Ander Herrera and Paul Pogba earning the visitors a spot in the quarter-finals of the FA Cup.
During his post-match press conference with the BBC, the Norwegian was asked about his team’s aspirations for the season, and whether winning the FA Cup was one of their objectives.
While answering the question, Solskjaer couldn’t help but take a dig at Alan Shearer, who was also present on the BBC panel.

Solskjaer cheekily brought up Manchester United‘s FA Cup winning run from 1999, wherein the Red Devils knocked out Shearer’s Newcastle United before going on to win the trophy.
Shearer did not take the dig too well, as he replied: “Thanks Ole, I was having a good night until then!” Watch the interaction here:

Ole also praised his team for the ‘fantastic’ display at Stamford Bridge, as he stated:
“We had criticism after the PSG game and everyone did what we asked tonight. The performance tonight was fantastic, our tactics worked. We asked our midfielders to press higher and get into the box and it worked.
“The defending in the second half was fantastic. Chelsea are a good team, they have their way of playing but Juan Mata did a fantastic job on Jorginho and we were absolutely perfect defensively. We kept a clean sheet. It is a massive result.”
