Here’s What Manchester United Hold For Fred’s Future

Manchester United’s transfers as of recent have been problematic. The persistence ignorance of the lack of a leader in the heart of their defense ought to have been amended in the summer and winter windows of this season.
Even their expensive signings as of recent have not shown a return on investment, and in some cases, fans have been left wondering whether the massive sums being paid on a weekly basis are truly worth the performances of said individuals.
While the obvious example is that of Alexis Sanchez, at least the Chilean has been fielded under Ole Gunnar Solskjaer, and occasionally comes on to try and make an impact. The same, however, cannot be said regarding another fateful talent.
Fred’s time at Manchester United has been a tumultuous one. The Brazilian hasn’t played for United in over 50 days, only occasionally being named in the match-day squads of Solskjaer, and more worryingly, has only started once in the last three months.

Even when the opportunity to break into the brilliant midfield trio of Matic, Pogba, and Herrera has presented itself, youngsters Andreas Pereira and Scott McTominay have been deployed instead.
Keeping in mind that Fred’s transfer cost upwards of £52 million, the fourth-highest in the club’s history, and was a transfer that was anticipated to put a creative cog in their midfield, that hasn’t occurred.

The warning bells are out there, but according to MEN, Fred’s representatives have been assured by the club. The report holds that the Mancunian outfit still believes in Fred.
Accordingly, the club is thought to be incredibly happy with the antics of the 25-year-old, and feel that the player needs to adapt a bit more to the playing style before he is entrusted with more game-time.
It will be interesting to see if this plays out in that regard, or if the Brazil international will just tire of waiting like so many others in the modern era.
