‘S*** Game’ – What Klopp Said To Solskjaer Following The Goalless Draw

The much-awaited Premier League encounter between Manchester United and Liverpool on Sunday was far from the game that it was hyped up to be.

Three first-half injuries, along with multiple pre-game setbacks, dampened the Red Devils’ hopes of giving their best shot against the Merseyside giants, who themselves did not perform as per their usual standards.

The goalless encounter was barely eventful, and along with the fans and the pundits, even the managers of the two teams agreed to the same.

Immediately after the full-time whistle, Jurgen Klopp walked up to Ole Gunnar Solskjaer for a handshake, when cameras caught the German uttering: ‘F****** hell, what a s*** game.’

During his post-match interview, the Liverpool boss also admitted that his team struggled to find its rhythm at Old Trafford, especially after the Red Devils’ three first-half substitutions.

“The boys didn’t feel okay. I could see it in their faces,” Klopp admitted. “I was thinking, ‘what is going on here today?’

“United played with a completely new midfield and three up front. We lost our rhythm and couldn’t get it back. It was a game without a lot of highlights… it was intense.”

While the result still keeps Liverpool atop the Premier League table with a single-point lead, United are down to fifth following Arsenal‘s win over Southampton.
