Manchester United Establish Contact With Sporting Lisbon Star
Manchester United have established contact with Sporting Lisbon midfielder Bruno Fernandes.
Having bagged 22 goals and 11 assists so far this season, Fernandes has attracted some major interest from all across Europe.
The attacking midfielder was also named the Portuguese League’s Player of the Year last season, following which he joined a decorated list of winners, which consists of current Premier League stars like Nemanja Matic and David Luiz.
The 24-year-old was also given the captain armband by Sporting at the start of the ongoing campaign, and he has since been largely impressive.

Premier League juggernauts Liverpool have been linked with the player for quite some time now, although speculation regarding his potential switch to Merseyside has remained in the initial stages.
But now, according to the latest report from Portuguese newspaper A Bola, another English outfit, viz. Manchester United, have established proper contact with the player’s representatives regarding a summer move.
Fernandes signed a brand new deal with Sporting the previous summer, and the contract consists of a €100m (£87m) release clause – a valuation no interested party would be likely to match.
However, the report does add that the club could be convinced to part ways with the Portuguese international, as they would find an offer in the region of €60-70m impossible to reject.
