The Reason Why Man Utd Could Lose De Gea Despite Offering Record Contract
David De Gea could be on the verge of pricing himself out of a new Manchester United deal.
The talented shot-stopper’s representatives have been involved in contract-related discussions with the Mancunian giants for quite some time now. However, no favourable resolution has been achieved yet.
The Spanish international has been the best Manchester United player since the departure of Sir Alex Ferguson, and the club is supposedly prepared to rewards his consistent heroics with a very lucrative deal.
In fact, multiple sources have indicated that the Red Devils are ready to make De Gea the highest paid goalkeeper in the history of the game, by offering him wages worth £350,000-a-week.

The aforementioned sum was initially believed to be enough to get the player to put pen to paper. But now, it may not work as expected.
According to the Standard, United may have to further improve their offer if they are to seal the deal with De Gea, especially with powerhouses like Juventus and PSG still lurking around the 28-year-old.

Aaron Ramsey’s recently signed pre-contract with Juventus, which is reported to be in the range of £400,000-a-week, has led De Gea’s representatives to believe that the custodian could get a much better deal if he departs from Old Trafford.
If United remain completely adamant on holding onto the Spaniard, they may also have to table a deal worth £400,000-a-week – similar to the one Alexis Sanchez currently earns at the Theatre of Dreams.
