Rashford Or Lukaku – Solskjaer Reveals Which United Star Scores The Most Goals In Training
Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has revealed that Romelu Lukaku scores the most amount of goals in training.
Many expected the Belgian international to get frozen out of the Manchester United starting lineup by Solskjaer, after the interim boss began deploying Marcus Rashford as his first-choice striker.
However, Lukaku has ended up playing a vital role for the Red Devils, as evident from his brace against Southampton last weekend, which helped the Mancunians beat the Saints 3-2.
After the game, Ole heaped enormous praise on the 25-year-old, talking about his strength as well as his impressive antics in training.

“He is a bright boy,” said Solskjaer (via M.E.N.). “And he knows what his strengths are and his strengths are going towards goal, finishing, running in behind. And, of course, when we get him too deep in the pitch maybe that doesn’t suit him at times.
“But he has responded fantastically to everyone who wants to criticise him because there is no one who practises finishing as much as he does. And he scores so many goals in training.
“I have said it so many times in the press as well, if we should do a score chart in training, he is the one that scores the most by a mile.”

Lukaku’s deployment as the main striker meant Marcus Rashford had to play out wide against Southampton – a fixture wherein the Englishman extended his dry run in front of goal upto 5 games.
However, Solskjaer continues to have full faith in the youngster too, as he stated: “He worked fantastically (vs Southampton). I thought that in the first second where he nutmegged the kid (Jannik Vestergaard) and went past him, you can see he is going to be a top top striker.
“Of course today we asked him to play wide, him and Rom to start with, and we changed it and I thought they were better, the two of them.”
