Philippe Coutinho has issued a come-and-get-me plea to Manchester United.

Coutinho completed his sensational £142m switch from Liverpool to Barcelona 14 months ago, becoming the Catalan giants’ most expensive signing in the process.

However, the playmaker has failed to nail down a permanent spot in the Barca lineup, and he continues to struggle in the star-studded squad to this day.

Multiple sources have indicated that the player is far from happy with life in La Liga, and he has finally decided to secure a move away from Spain at the end of the season.

Amid the uncertainty surrounding his future, English outlet Mirror has claimed that Coutinho has already spoken to several Manchester United players, telling them of his desire to play for the Old Trafford outfit.

The Brazilian international hopes to return to the Premier League. But with his relations with former club Liverpool turning sour post his departure from Anfield, the Theatre of Dreams is now his most preferred destination in England.

With Barcelona boss Ernesto Valverde looking to raise funds for the upcoming summer transfer window, the Red Devils won’t face too much difficulty in securing Coutinho’s services, as long as they are willing to cough up a fee in the region of £100m.

However, United are likely to face stern competition in this pursuit from French giants Paris Saint-Germain, who will possess the added motivation of seeking revenge on the Mancunians following their recent Champions League spectacle.
