Zinedine Zidane did the unthinkable, as he rejoined Real Madrid on Monday, a mere 10 months since he resigned from the top role.

In the absence of the player-turned-gaffer, Madrid have gone through two managers, seen their domestic options battered, suffered back-to-back losses to bitter rivals Barcelona, and most shockingly of all, saw the three-year-long Champions League streak that the Frenchman happily curated break down in the Round of 16 itself against Ajax.

As a result, Zidane will now likely command full control of the club’s operations, and may go ahead with the overhaul that was allegedly rejected by Florentino Perez before the gaffer’s resignation.

Playing a keen role in his transfer plans is Eden Hazard, who appears all set to move to the club of his dreams. However, Zidane’s ambitions may not stop there.

According to El Chiringuito TV, Paul Pogba and Sadio Mane also feature in the Frenchman’s transfer wishlist for next season.

It is understood that the massive sums that will be required to facilitate such transfers will be attained by selling stars surplus to requirements at the Bernabeu, with the likes of Gareth Bale likely to be shown the exit door.

However, it will certainly not be easy sailing for the Spanish giants. Pogba has seen an unprecedented surge in form after the arrival of Ole Gunnar Solskjaer, and is unlikely to leave.

At the same time, reports did suggest that the French midfielder could be open to an exit if the Red Devils don’t secure Champions League football for next season, and the fact that he holds Zidane as a childhood idol certainly leaves some hope for that saga.

As for Mane, the forward has been in impeccable form for Liverpool this season, and is under contract until 2023. As of such, it will take a gigantic sum of money before the Merseyside club even consider making a move.
