Pep Guardiola To Splash £85m On Serie A Defender
Manchester City are preparing a mammoth offer for Milan Skriniar.
The Inter Milan defender has been enjoying a sublime campaign this term, with his performances at the back attracting a lot of attention.
Multiple top clubs from all across Europe are already being linked with the centre-back, and Inter are expected to be bombarded with enormous bids for the player’s services.
In fact, according to AS, the first big offer might already be on its away, thanks to Premier League giants Manchester City.
The Spanish source states that Pep Guardiola is preparing a mammoth bid worth £85 million to secure the Slovakian international’s signature.
The Cityzens had previously made a £47m offer back in the January transfer window, which was turned down straightaway by Inter, as per the 24-year-old’s agent.
Mithat Halis further claimed that apart from City, his client is also being pursued by two of Spain’s biggest powerhouses. He told Diario AS: “Real Madrid want him, and so do Barcelona. Whoever can convince Inter to let sell in the summer will sign him.”
With so many clubs with enormous financial muscle vying for Skriniar, it is only a matter of time before the in-demand defender ends up moving to a new high-profile destination.
