Xavi has revealed the area where Manchester United can truly hurt Barcelona.

The Catalan giants are set to visit Old Trafford for the first leg of the UCL quarter-finals on Wednesday night, and many consider the away side to be the clear favourite to win the tie and proceed to the next round.

While Barcelona boast of the more established team at present, Ernesto Valverde has refused to underestimate the Red Devils, who have improved drastically under Ole Gunnar Solskjaer.

Now, legendary Spanish midfielder Xavi has made his predictions regarding the match-up, revealing the area where the Mancunians can hurt the La Liga outfit the most.

The midfield maestro has pinpointed the leaky nature of Barcelona‘s defence, as he states (via Daily Mirror): “This season Barcelona have let in more goals than is normal for them, and that will give Manchester United some hope I am sure.

“In games like this you need a leader and a player like Pique need to make sure the rest of the team stay calm and composed. He has won everything and can be that leader.”

Xavi further went on to praise Manchester United’s talented attack, and how it could prove to lethal for his former club. The 39-year-old opined: “This is an area that Manchester United can really cause Barcelona a problem in.

“Lukaku is a big physical threat and then they have then players like Martial and Rashford who have a lot of speed, a lot of quality, and both can get goals.”
