Ole Gunnar Solskjaer Publicly Tears Into Players After Everton Defeat

Manchester United were a sorry sight on their 100^th visit to Goodison Park, as Everton battered them 4-0. The Red Devils were utterly lack-luster on the night, unable to string together even basic passes, and didn’t have a shot on target until the 86^th minute.

The team of players that played there was arguably the best of the lot in the present roster, and yet the sort of performances they put up had more than one supporter infuriated at the club.

At this rate, Champions League football seems like a real far stretch, and judging by the standings of the table and the style with which United have been functioning, even football in Europe may be a tough bet next season.

Speaking after the full-time whistle, Ole Gunnar Solskjaer didn’t mince words as to who was to face the blame for the result.

“If you want to play at this club, it has to mean more,” the gaffer stated. “I want my team to be the hardest working team in this league. I’m going to be successful here, and there are players there that won’t be part of that successful team.”

The baby-faced assassin seems to be done with the side putting up uninspiring performances, and these words are probably the first truly damning public criticism that the squad has heard from their newly-appointed manager.

The likes of Ashley Young and Nemanja Matic seemed like the obvious culprits on the night, with even Romelu Lukaku appearing like an excuse of a striker.

Combining poor players and talents whose contracts will expire soon, a large exodus may be on its way at Manchester United in the summer.

At the same time, the worrying trend has also afflicted some of their top players like David De Gea and Paul Pogba, while promising young talents like Marcus Rashford and Anthony Martial haven’t been at their best either. What will Solskjaer do with them?
