It’s time for the Manchester derby yet again, and this one could prove to be enormous in face of the title race.

Liverpool and Manchester City are embroiled in a close battle, and victory at Old Trafford could mean a quick title defense for the Sky Blues. In contrast, struggling Manchester United could still try to rob their bitter rivals off the title two seasons in a row.

Let us have a look at how the two clubs will likely lineup for the encounter:

Manchester United

Ole Gunnar Solskjaer wasn’t the happiest of men after United’s 4-0 thrashing against Everton. A culling seemed on the line come summer.

As for the derby, he’ll solely be bereft of Phil Jones and perhaps Eric Bailly too due to injury, with Antonio Valencia back in training.

The key choice for him to make is whether the lineup needs a radical overhaul in view of their poor performances as of recent, or whether to stick with a safe bet. Alexis Sanchez may get one last opportunity to make an impact at the Theatre of Dreams for the derby.

Goalkeeper: De Gea
Defenders: Young, Smalling, Lindelof, Shaw
Midfielders: Herrera, Matic, Pogba
Forwards: Lingard; Sanchez, Rashford

Formation: 4-3-1-2

Manchester City

Pep Guardiola’s season has seen a dramatic turn. The side was in the running to fulfill a potential quadruple until last week. However, an exit from the Champions League may now be further hampered by a loss to United, resulting in them botching their Premier League title defense as well.

They’ll be without Kevin De Bruyne and Claudio Bravo for the derby due to injuries. If Sergio Aguero and Leroy Sane are tasked with the Red Devils of the past few weeks, they’ll have little to worry about.

Goalkeeper: Ederson
Defenders: Walker, Stones, Laporte, Mendy
Midfielders: Silva, Fernandinho, David Silva
Forwards: Sterling, Aguero, Sane

Formation: 4-3-3
