Man City Leading Race To Sign €50m Rated Portuguese Star

While the Manchester derby went the way of the Sky Blues, the Red Devils are certainly stocking up to make next season theirs. Ole Gunnar Solskjaer is adamant to achieve success at Old Trafford, and seems likely to put in place a major overhaul of the club’s roster.
More importantly, the players that are removed will have to be replaced as well, and the club is certainly looking at some promising names to populate their lineup next season.
In fact, there is one player that both the Mancunian clubs may look to sign now.
As per Portuguese newspaper A Bola, Manchester United have emerged as fresh contenders for the signature of Bruno Fernandes from Sporting CP after a period of relative silence regarding their interest in the midfielder.

It was earlier reported that both PSG and Manchester City are locking horns to potentially sign the Portuguese international, but now, the Red Devils also seem eager to secure the 24-year-old.
However, the report also states that City will be the club to take the first step, and have allegedly arranged a meeting with Sporting’s director to discuss the terms of Bruno’s departure.
It is understood that the Portuguese club is wary of losing the player, but at this rate, will look to maximize the profits that they can make on his sale.

Speaking of which, Man City are willing to pay well over €50 million to acquire the talent, with PSG also looking to match any big figure.
Going by the spending power that United have brought to the window in recent seasons, a three-pronged battle is likely to raise the asking price of the player to an amount that will please his parent club immensely.
However, it is also believed that no club will make a move at this point itself, with preliminary bids being slated only for after the end of the season.
