Edinson Cavani Looking For A Premier League Move
Strikers who wish to make a mark across Europe certainly face a daunting task, as not all leagues require the same skillset or vigor.
Some are farmer’s leagues, where scoring braces and hat-tricks are quite common, and that too on a regular basis, while others are of the level of difficulty wherein even netting goals in back-to-back games is a Herculean feat.
Despite that, numerous names have attempted to make it big across the leagues of Europe, and now Edinson Cavani, seems set to try his hand at it as well.
The Uruguayan striker is understood to be frustrated with PSG’s repeated downfalls this season, and is looking for an exit. Initially, it was believed that his former club Napoli would be the obvious destination for the 32-year-old.

But now, Calciomercato have revealed that the striker wishes for a Premier League challenge, and that top English clubs like Manchester United and Chelsea and are put on alert by his availability.
While both Chelsea and United are on the lookout for strikers, the London club’s impending transfer ban may limit them from making an attempt for the forward.

On the other hand, United, despite preparing for a potential Romelu Lukaku exit, may be less inclined at signing Cavani, as he his 32 years of age. Ole Gunnar Solskjaer is understood to be on the lookout for younger talents who he can develop into world-class players.
Past precedent has shown United give Zlatan Ibrahimovic a shot, as the Swedish striker was also eager on an English stint. However, the two players are remarkably different, and it is no secret that Cavani may not hold the commercial appeal that Ibrahimovic brilliantly commanded.
This hunt for an apt forward may be the highlight of United’s transfer window, despite having major issues to address elsewhere in their squad as well.
