WATCH: Ferdinand Shoves Glenn Hoddle Aside While Celebrating Spurs’ Win Over Ajax
Tottenham Hotspur simply did the unthinkable on Wednesday night.
After having gone two goals down (3-0 on aggregate) at the Johan Cruyff Arena, the Londoners managed to score three goals through Lucas Moura to sensationally win the tie 3-3 on the away goals rule.
All the three goals from the Premier League giants were scored within the second half of the second-leg tie, with the winner arriving during the 5-minute added time after the end of normal regulation time.
Everyone associated with the club experienced sheer ecstasy when Moura’s hattrick-clinching goal hit the back of the net. Incredible scenes were also witnessed inside the BT Sport studio, in the match programme that featured Rio Ferdinand and Glenn Hoddle.
As soon as Moura scored the winner, the two pundits as well as host Gary Linerak simply erupted with joy.
During these celebrations, however, Ferdinand also happened to accidentally shove Hoddle aside, but the latter, too occupied with his own happiness and disbelief, failed to even notice getting poked by the ex-Manchester United centre-back.

After having re-watched the footage, Rio uploaded a video of the scenes on his Twitter account, captioning the post: ‘Glenn, Are you ok…are you ok’?
Glenn clearly was okay, as moments after being manhandled by Ferdinand, he was heard saying: “I’m so glad I’m still around to see that.
“Two footballing miracles in two nights (referring to Liverpool‘s win over Barcelona on Tuesday). Tottenham only had 45 minutes to score three goals. Incredible, incredible, emotions flying in here as well.”
