Juventus Willing To Sell Joao Cancelo To Manchester United In A €60m Deal
Ole Gunnar Solskjaer is eager to begin the rebuilding of his Manchester United squad as soon as possible, having already admitted that he hopes the club will conclude all transfer business by the start of July.
A key area to be strengthened is the right-back position. Club captain Antonio Valencia has left the club following the expiry of his contract, Diogo Dalot isn’t developed enough to be a regular starter, and Ashley Young simply isn’t good enough.
The Red Devils have, therefore, been looking in the market for potential reinforcements, and have supposedly targeted the likes of Kieran Trippier and Aaron Wan-Bissaka so far.
Now, a new candidate is being linked with a summer switch to Old Trafford, in the form of Juventus full-back Joao Cancelo.

Cancelo joined the Serie A giants from Spanish outfit Valencia last summer, and began his spell in Italy in impressive fashion.
However, the 24-year-old’s performances deteriorated in quality since the start of 2019, especially when compared to Juventus’ other full-backs, viz. Leonardo Spinazzola and Mattia De Sciglio.

Now, as per the latest report by La Gazzetta dello Sport (via Calciomercato), Manchester United have expressed their interest in the Portuguese international, and the Turin-based outfit is open to a deal.
The Italian news outlet indicates that Juve will readily part ways with the defender, provided the Red Devils shell out a fee in the region of €60 million.
Meanwhile, other sources have hinted at a potential swap deal involving Cancelo and wantaway United full-back Matteo Darmian as well, and it will be interesting to see how this particular story pans out in the months to come.
