Manchester United To Kickstart Summer Spending By Targeting Three Players

Manchester United are finally ready to begin their summer spending.

Multiple sources have already hinted at the Red Devils’ interest in signing Swansea City starlet Daniel James. Now, according to the Telegraph, the Mancunians have opened talks with the Welsh outfit over a £15m deal for the 21-year-old.

Swansea are said to be happy with receiving a £15m fee for their pacey forward, and Manchester United hope to agree a deal by the end of the week.

Further, the report adds that the Premier League giants are also set to make an offer for Newcastle United midfielder Sean Longstaff within the next 48 hours.

Despite having made just 12 appearances in all competitions for the Magpies, Longstaff has already managed to catch the attention of the coaching staff at the Old Trafford outfit.

Newcastle boss Rafa Benitez is supposedly reluctant to part ways with the 21-year-old Englishman. However, this move is expected to go through nonetheless, as Manchester United‘s interest in the youngster’s services is “genuine”.

Lastly, the English outlet has claimed that the Reds will also be resuming their pursuit of Leicester City centre-back Harry Maguire.

Solskjaer will have to compete with Manchester City for the 27-year-old’s signature, which could cost them around £70 million.
