Ed Woodward Has Already Failed To Sign One Summer Transfer Target
Luck seems to be evading Manchester United in all realms of possibility. The English giants have to work tremendously hard in the summer transfer window in order to remain a top-flight side that still challenges for silverware.
In order to successfully do that, however, they must clear the deadwood currently plaguing their roster as well as clinch the signings they deem vital to regaining their shape.
Manager Ole Gunner Solskjaer has indicated that he’d like to confirm most of the club’s targets before July 1 when the roster meets for its pre-season training.
As of such, they must prioritize making said signings during this one-month long window. Now, it is claimed that they missed out on a vital player.

According to the M.E.N, United made inquiries into signing Borussia Dortmund’s newest acquisition, Julian Brandt.
The English outfit had contacted Bayern Leverkusen about the availability of the 23-year-old. However, at that point in time, the German winger had already decided to move to Borussia Dortmund, who announced his arrival on Wednesday.
If true, this news indicates how desperate United are getting in order to attract top talent. It is understood that Dortmund’s Jaden Sancho was a player that Solskjaer and company wanted to sign in order to bring world-class presence to their wings.

However, it is believed that the absence of Champions League football for next season ended that saga and looks likely to interfere with many of their big-name prospects.
Even though the Norwegian gaffer had indicated that the team won’t suffer in their ability to attract big names despite missing out on the Champions League, that does appear to be the case. Perhaps some of the agents that Solskjaer was mentioning will come through and provide United with the signings they badly desire.
All things considered, it appears that Swansea City’s Daniel James is the player most likely to make the switch to Old Trafford at this point in time.
