Ed Woodward Ready To Sell Manchester United Superstar For £70 Million
Ole Gunnar Solskjaer appears eager to make his intent known at Manchester United.
While his early success at the club, particularly during his stint as the caretaker gaffer, indicated that winning days were back at Old Trafford, the abysmal manner in which their season ended narrates a sordid tale.
As of such, it is during the summer transfer window that the Norwegian gaffer will get the next big chance to stamp his authority. While purchasing promising talents will factor into that, so will clearing the deadwood from the squad.
Recent reports had claimed that the United manager wants the club to sell the likes of Matteo Darmian, Juan Mata, Marcos Rojo, and Romelu Lukaku before the end of the window.

All of these players seem to be surplus to requirements at the club but the deal for one of them may not go as expected.
The Mirror claims that Manchester United are not happy with the transfer fee that Inter Milan is willing to pay for Romelu Lukaku. The Belgian striker appears exit bound to the Serie A side after dropping down the pecking order under Solskjaer.

While Inter is willing to meet his weekly wage package and Lukaku himself is allegedly eager on the move, the Red Devils may block the deal in its present state. The Italian side is willing to offer only about £50 million for the 26-year-old.
However, the source claims that Ed Woodward is not satisfied with the amount and does not wish to make a huge loss on the club’s investment. It is believed that United would require a sum in the range of £70 million for the former Everton striker.
Inter are expected to make the move as they are on the cusp of signing Antonio Conte as their gaffer. The manager is a big fan of Lukaku and was looking to sign the Belgian during his time at Chelsea.
