Man Utd Want Inter Defender Milan Skriniar In Exchange Of Romelu Lukaku
The transfer window, at least in terms of rumors, has been more active for Manchester United in comparison to actual business done.
The Red Devils have been linked with a host of names and the news cycles are still young enough that there is a lack of clear sagas that will define the summer. The de Ligt pursuit is clearly one that will last for a while yet.
Meanwhile, the Red Devils also have to fret about players they have to offload from their roster. A host of names have been making the rounds even in that department.
However, the potential departure of Romelu Lukaku has been talked about ever since the Belgian’s agent discussed the player’s summer prospects earlier. Inter Milan was most linked with the striker. Now, there is a possibility of a deal that may interest both parties.

The Independent claims that Inter Milan are eager to give prospective manager Antonio Conte the signing he most desires in the form of Lukaku.
However, with Ed Woodward not wishing to make a loss on the striker’s transfer, the report claims that Inter will instead include a player to sweeten the deal.

The source pegs Ivan Perisic to be the player being offered by the Italian club. The winger was high on United’s wishlist under Jose Mourinho but Ole Gunnar Solskjaer is believed to be uninterested. The Mancunian giants would instead prefer Milan Skriniar to be the swapped player.
The 24-year-old centre-back has been on the club’s wishlist for a while now. Given how their other defensive pursuits are yet to materialize and the de Ligt saga likely to be a deceptive ruse, this is a possibility that the club could really get behind.
Lukaku departing would also solve the issue of lining up at Old Trafford as well as perhaps setting the precedent for another expensive player, Alexis Sanchez, to be shown the exit door.
