Manchester United remain in pursuit of Tanguy Ndombele.

Having completed the signing of Daniel James from Swansea City, the Mancunian giants have now turned their attention towards strengthening other areas of the team.

Apart from the centre-back and right-back positions, central midfield is a department that needs heavy strengthening, particularly since the likes of Marouane Fellaini and Ander Herrera have already departed from the Manchester club.

A host of midfielders have been linked with a summer switch to the Theatre of Dreams, with one such target being Lyon midfielder Tanguy Ndombele.

According to TF1 journalistJulien Maynard, the Red Devils are in talks with the Ligue 1 club to sign the 22-year-old, along with Tottenham Hotspur and Juventus.

The France international is young, hungry, and eager to succeed, thereby fulfilling all the requirements of Manchester United boss Ole Gunnar Solskjaer.

The report states that no agreement has been reached so far, with Ndombele ‘taking his time’ in making the decision, fully aware that this transfer could end up defining the rest of his career.

It will be interesting to see whether he takes up the chance to play alongside fellow compatriot Paul Pogba at Old Trafford, despite the fact that United cannot offer him Champions League football next season, like the other two interested parties.
