Marcus Rashford Set To Sign New Manchester United Contract
It is no secret that Manchester United are struggling this window.
A host of their top players like David De Gea, Romelu Lukaku, and Paul Pogba are believed to be on the cusp of departures while the club has been able to do little in terms of putting a finishing touch on the sagas they have been linked with.
Daniel James has been the sole signing of the summer so far while the prospects of Matthijs de Ligt, Kalidou Koulibaly, Aaron Wan-Bissaka, and Issa Diop still remain in some doubt.
To add to the club’s headache is the fact that numerous first-team players have their contracts on the verge of running out and the side is expected to be on the negotiating table for a host of these talents.

According to the Times, the club has agreed to the demands set forth by Marcus Rashford and the young forward is set to be offered a new bumper contract at the club.
The 21-year-old Rashford is expected to get a lucrative pay rise in his new deal with his present £80,000-a-week package expected to go as high as £300,000-a-week.
If this claim is true, United may be setting a dangerous precedent for the future. The manner in which massive wage packages can haunt was made amply clear to them when David De Gea demanded to see parity with the wages that Alexis Sanchez makes at the club.

Rashford is another player who is believed to have used the Sanchez argument in order to demand a contract that is indicative of his position in the club’s roster. Further, it is being speculated that the Englishman used the alleged interest from Barcelona and Real Madrid as leverage to attain this deal.
Rashford did have the best season of his career last campaign and one can only hope that with these kinds of wages he’ll be able to rise to incredible heights in the future.
