Manchester United Have Reached A ‘Contractual Agreement’ With Tanguy Ndombele

Transfer news surrounding Manchester United has been quite strong in the past few days. Paul Pogba’s admission that he was looking for a new challenge added a storm of speculations to a summer that had already seen the Red Devils struggle with their centre-back pursuits.
It was initially believed that Ole Gunnar Solskjaer would require a winger, a right-back, and a centre-back to be signed this window. However, the new updates may now also require the club to add a back-up striker and a midfielder to that list.
With regard to the latter, United may have some positive news to share.
According to Soccer Link, the Red Devils have reached a ‘contractual agreement’ with 22-year-old Tanguy Ndombele. United were recently linked to the Lyon midfielder who has also attracted interest from PSG, Tottenham, Juventus this summer.

The report highlights that despite this alleged agreement, any suitors of the Frenchman will still have to fulfill Lyon’s asking price.
At present, the Ligue 1 side is believed to be valuing the youngster at around €90 million. This sum is significantly higher than the €60 million that the Mancunian outfit were reportedly readying.

It appears that despite the player’s desire to play at the level of Premier League football, he isn’t willing to force a move away from Lyon. This means that the French club have nearly all the bargaining chips in their court and that United will likely have to comply with the enormous sum in order to complete the transfer.
The central midfielder is impeccable in his passing and dribbling and could bring a lot of dynamic play into a United midfield that has seemed lackluster the past season.
If United do sell Pogba for the enormous sum that they are believed to be holding out for, perhaps Lyon’s wishes can be accommodated through that windfall but as of now, this saga may have reached an impasse.
