A common trend this window is that clubs are really keen on making marquee reinforcements to their rosters that will aid them in acquiring their set goals.

At Real Madrid, the generous splurge from the higher-ups is to engineer a comeback after last season’s underwhelming performance. Meanwhile, Juventus seem to be continuing on last season’s investment spree with the Champions League title still very much on their mind.

Manchester United’s transfer ambitions are to provide Ole Gunnar Solskjaer with the apt set of players to bring the Red Devils back to winning ways. Now, one player who has been deeply linked to all three destinations could play a pivotal role in their plans going forward.

According to the Mirror, Christian Eriksen may wish to move to either Manchester United or Juventus after his dream move to Real Madrid collapsed.

The La Liga giants were successful in acquiring Eden Hazard this window which meant that they had no need for Eriksen.

The 27-year-old Danish midfielder was all set to move away from Tottenham this summer and many had speculated that Madrid may opt for him if the Hazard saga didn’t turn out as expected.

However, now the player’s sight for a ‘new challenge’ could be on either Old Trafford or for the Old Lady in Italy.

It goes without saying that Juventus properly meets Eriksen’s desire for something new and also have a significantly better chance at attaining silverware this season, particularly the Champions League title which is a competition that United don’t even compete it.

At the same time, the Mancunian giants may be in a better position financially given that Daniel Levy has placed an enormous £100 million pricetag on Eriksen.

If Real Madrid do succeed in their swoop for Paul Pogba and at United’s required price of £150 million, it is easy to see how the windfall can be invested in Eriksen who possesses a similar arsenal of skills crucial to a central attacking midfielder.
