Manchester United’s transfer pursuits may be looking up at last. The Red Devils are expected to finalize a lot of their pursuits in the upcoming week and while they still only have Daniel James to boast of this summer, the supporters of the Red Devils may be in for some long-awaited respite.

The target that the club is most expected to finalize is Aaron Wan-Bissaka. The 21-year-old English right-back is believed to be on the verge of a deal with most reports claiming that some sort of definitive progress or the other has been made.

The unclear aspect at this stage is the exact fee that Crystal Palace will receive for the deal.

However, one thing looks certain to happen once Wan-Bissaka is unveiled at Old Trafford.

As per the Telegraph, United are looking to offload Matteo Darmian once they acquire Wan-Bissaka. The Italian defender has looked to be on borrowed time at United for months altogether and it was a big surprise that he wasn’t sold in prior windows itself.

At 29 years of age, he certainly qualifies for the dead wood that United have still kept within their roster. Interest has been strong from Italy for quite a while now.

According to the report, Juventus are yet again the most likely club to secure him. It appears that the Old Lady are eyeing Darmian to be the replacement for Joao Cancelo who appears to be Manchester City-bound in a £45 million deal.

It is also mentioned that this domino effect is awaiting City selling Danilo first.

Further, the entire affair will also aid United in covering some of the expenses for Wan-Bissaka’s deal which is believed to cost much higher than the club was expecting. The report adds that Palace were quite displeased with the initial performance-based add-ons that United were proposing.
