Done Deal: Manchester United Agree £50m Aaron Wan-Bissaka Deal – Medical Soon
Manchester United have secured their second transfer of the summer.
The BBC reports that Crystal Palace have accepted a £50 million bid for the 21-year-old right-back Aaron Wan-Bissaka.
This is a deal that United were expected to complete for quite a while now and the report now states that the English player will complete a medical with United soon before going on holiday.
Further, Wan-Bissaka has allegedly accepted a ‘long-term’ contract with United that will see his weekly wages go as high as £90,000. It is expected that he will be the first-choice right-back for Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s roster.
The need for an adequate right-back has plagued United for a while now with Ashley Young often looking lackluster in the spot. While Diogo Dalot was signed last campaign to specifically address this issue, the Portuguese starlet has been too inexperienced and defensively inept for the spot.
It will be interesting to see the dynamic that the two youngsters will share for the position.
Further, with this deal, United can also look to sell Matteo Darmian who has been a dead wood at Old Trafford for a while now.

This deal certainly confirms Solskjaer’s intent to have most of his transfers tied up and ready by the time pre-season training starts at the beginning of July.
United continue to be linked with a host of talents and in crucial spots. Harry Maguire is being touted to be the centre-back to solve United’s defensive issues but his pricetag may pose a problem.
Further, the uncertainty surrounding the futures of Paul Pogba and Romelu Lukaku may necessitate the acquisition of an attacking midfielder and a striker too. It will be interesting to see what other deals the club will make in the week or so to come.
