How Manchester United Plan To Sign Bruno Fernandes For A Discounted Fee
Manchester United plan to sign Bruno Fernandes for a largely discounted fee.
After having completed two major signings so far this summer, the Red Devils intend to bring in Sporting Lisbon playmaker Bruno Fernandes as their third recruit of the ongoing transfer window.
As per some reports, United had previously tabled a bid worth £31m for the 24-year-old. But it was turned down straightaway, as Sporting fully intend to hold out for a fee in the region of £54m for their prized asset.
The Portuguese club hopes that a bidding war for Fernandes eventually drive his price up, especially with the likes of Liverpool and Tottenham Hotspur also interested in the attacking midfielder.

However, as it turns out, their high valuation of the player has had the opposite effect, and it has driven away most potential suitors, Jornal de Noticias reveal.
Meanwhile, Manchester United, who are well aware of this fact, remain relaxed in their pursuit of the Portuguese international.
In fact, they now hope Fernandes will put pressure on the club to force a move to Manchester, and enable them to close this deal for the originally offered £31m.
Therefore, if all goes according to plan, the Reds can complete this signing for a discounted fee, and make a huge saving of £23m.
