Solskjaer Names Two Of The Fastest Players From The Current Man United Squad
Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has revealed that his two new signings are the fastest players in the current squad.
The Norwegian tactician recruited Daniel James as his first signing since taking over at Manchester United, and the winger’s arrival was closely followed by that of Aaron Wan-Bissaka from Crystal Palace.
Both these players perfectly fit into the Red Devils’ brand new transfer philosophy, wherein the club will be focusing on signing young homegrown players over established superstars.
Further, the two players have similarities in terms of playing styles as well, in the manner that this duo is full of pace and speed – so much so, that Solskjaer has admitted that they are the fastest in the current roster.

“Is anyone faster than James? Maybe Wan-Bissaka!” Solskjaer stated (via Metro). “The two of them do have top, top speed. Modern football is stop-start, it is go again, speed, tempo, quality, so those two have put their marker down.
“Of course, with our boys, we have got some quick ones. It doesn’t matter if they are English, Norwegian, French, Brazilians, you just want good players, good people, quality and speed of course is a big thing in football nowadays.”

Solskjaer further hinted at a lightning-quick attack that Manchester United could deploy next season, featuring the likes of Marcus Rashford and Anthony Martial alongside James.
“The more X factors you have in a team, the better you are,” Ole added.
“Any player who plays against, say, Rashford, Martial, Dan James, with the pace they have got, I think you are worried that they can hurt you – even if they have an off day.”
