Manchester United Willing To Pay €150m Release Clause Of Saul Niguez
Manchester United are prepared to activate the release clause of Saul Niguez.
Earlier this month, Spanish outlet AS had suggested that the Red Devils had identified Saul as a potential replacement for Paul Pogba, who continues to be linked with a summer exit.
It was also reported that the English club had established contact with the La Liga outfit, but no further move was made.
Now, Saturday’s edition of AS has resurrected this story, claiming that Manchester United fully ‘intend to pay’ the player’s release clause.

The Spanish international has a clause worth €150m in his Atletico contract – a figure that is well within the reach of the Mancunian giants.
Further, this update has led Atletico to jump into action, and they have subsequently begun negotiations with Saul’s representatives, the Stellar Group, over a brand new deal.
This new contract will see the 24-year-old’s salary increase, but the length of the contract and the termination clause will remain unchanged. Therefore, it is unlikely to affect Manchester United‘s chances of sealing this transfer.
However, the pay rise shall be spectacular, as it will make Saul the highest earner at the club, alongside star goalkeeper Jan Oblak, who pockets €10m net per season.
