Manchester United seem to be back in the transfer groove. The English giants were touted to close a string of deals after securing the signature of Aaron Wan-Bissaka and before heading out to their pre-season tour.
However, that didn’t occur, with most speculations pegging the club to have faced numerous price-related deadlocks in their pursuits.
On Sunday, there was a gleam of good news for supporters of the club as multiple reports broke the news that Leicester City had agreed to sell Harry Maguire to United for a world-record £80 million in transfer fees and that the Englishman was touted for a medical soon.
This may be an indication that Ole Gunnar Solskjaer is eager to wrap up his transfer business and news from elsewhere points to a similar trajectory.

As per Portuguese newspaper Correio da Manha , Solskjaer is at loggerheads with the Manchester United board over the saga of Bruno Fernandes.
The Portuguese midfielder has been linked to the Red Devils for a long time now and it certainly appears that the initial progress that the English side made was overestimated.
At last count, it was indicated that Sporting wanted a price for Fernandes that was deemed too high by United.

This report claims that they are asking £65 million for the 24-year-old and that Solskjaer is trying his best to convince the higher-ups at Old Trafford that Fernandes is well-worth the investment.
The Maguire report certainly shows that despite claiming to not overspend and be bullied by clubs, desperation may tip United’s hand to reaching the asking price one way or another.
If signed, Fernandes will complete the major needs that United had this window and it will be the potential exits of Romelu Lukaku and Paul Pogba that will likely dictate any more purchasing activity on their part.
