Man United Offer Phil Jones To Convince Leicester To Sell Harry Maguire?
Phil Jones could be used as a makeweight in Manchester United’s bid to sign Harry Maguire.
The Red Devils have been in persistent pursuit of Maguire, despite having their opening bid for the 26-year-old rejected by Leicester City.
Their more recent offer was rumoured to be closer to the Foxes’ world-record valuation for their star centre-back, but no concrete updates regarding the negotiations have emerged just yet.
Now, the Telegraph have hinted that the Mancunian giants are prepared to offer Phil Jones plus cash to drag the Maguire deal across the finish line.

This report emerges just a day after Ole Gunnar Solskjaer admitted that Manchester United will have to offload a defender if they are to welcome a new one.
When asked about the stockpile of centre-backs in his current squad ahead of the Leeds United friendly, the Norwegian replied: “Yeah, of course, there’s a limit of players.

“Whoever performs will be part of the team and whoever doesn’t they have got to fight to get back in. There’s been loads of speculation, but we’ll work to find a relationship with the ones we’ve got.”
It remains to be seen how Leicester City respond to this player-plus-cash offer from the Old Trafford outfit, and whether they show any interest in making Phil Jones a part of their squad.
